Perched on volcanic cliffs on the island's northeast tip, this residential enclave is where villa-goers come to trade the Gustavia buzz for a lounger at the infinity edge, an unbroken horizon over Lorient Bay, and an easy stroll to one of the island's most beloved hotel restaurants. Villa OCEAN slots neatly into that promise: three air-conditioned king suites, an infinity pool angled squarely at the sunset, and daily housekeeping that lets the week dissolve into rounds of espresso, swims, and rosé.
The Experience
You arrive up a switchback lane and the villa opens onto the view first: the Atlantic stretched east, Lorient harbor tucked below, and the low silhouettes of Île Fourchue and Toc Vers on the horizon. Days here have a rhythm that Pointe Milou regulars know well — morning laps in the infinity pool while the light is still soft, a drive down to Lorient or Saint-Jean for pastries and provisions (there's almost no retail on the point itself), an afternoon at Anse de Lorient or the surf break at Toiny, then back to the terrace for what may be the most consistent sunset seat on the island. The three ensuite king bedrooms with four-poster beds mean couples and small groups get equal footing, and the seven-night minimum enforces the pace the neighborhood was designed for.
What to Try
Book the villa's daily housekeeping for a proper breakfast setup on the terrace, then walk five minutes to Hotel Christopher for a Taïno-style lunch by the pool or a sundowner at the Mango bar. Reserve at least one long dinner at Le Ti St. Barth, the theatrical cabaret-restaurant that put Pointe Milou on the after-dark map. For quieter nights, cook in — the villa's kitchen and grill are set up for it — and drive down to Lorient for the freshest local catch at JoJo Supermarché.
Insider Tip
Pointe Milou faces east, so sunrise over the Atlantic from the terrace is arguably better than the celebrated sunset — and you'll have it entirely to yourself. Ask the villa manager to arrange a pre-arrival provisioning run through Maya's To Go in Public before you land; the point is a 15-minute drive from anything resembling a market, and you'll want the fridge stocked for that first evening.
