The Experience
You meet on the sand at Shell Beach — the pebbly, sunset-facing cove tucked just south of Gustavia — where Jean-Rémi walks you through the controls in about ten minutes, then leads you out beyond the mooring field. The 60-minute Freedom Tour is the sweet-spot: you carve north past Corossol and Colombier, pause for photos below the cliffs at Anse des Flamands, then swing wide toward the Saint-Jean airport approach to watch the tiny Twin Otters skim the ridge before dropping in. Because he rides sweep behind you, nervous riders relax within minutes and confident ones get waved through to open up the throttle in the deeper channels. The 90-minute No Stress Tour swaps the airport loop for a snorkel stop off Île Coco, where he anchors, hands out masks, and lifeguards the swim while you drift over the turtles.
What to Try
If it's your first time on a ski, take the 30-minute Easy & Fun (€90) — it's genuinely enough to loop Gouverneur and Saline without eating into your afternoon. Repeat riders should book the 2-hour Jet Ski Snorkeling & Breakfast (€210, 9 a.m. only): you're on flat morning water before the trade winds pick up, and the tour ends with a beach breakfast catered by Eden To Go. Ask Jean-Rémi to time the return so you're passing the airport around a scheduled arrival — the photos of planes threading the hill are the shot everyone screenshots later. Insider Tip
Book the earliest morning slot you can (9 a.m. departures are held for the breakfast tour, but 10 a.m. is the next-calmest window). By 1 p.m. the swell around Colombier stacks up and the ride from smooth to washboard is night and day — plus Shell Beach itself gets crowded with cruise passengers after lunch, and you'll want the sand clear when you drag the skis back up. Also: skis are booked per machine, not per person, so a couple riding two-up on one ski pays the same as a solo, which is why families with two kids over 16 tend to split across two skis for the price of one and a half.
